Legitimizing your copy of the server software

Registration

Preliminaries

This note describes how to specify your customer number and access key in the configuration file.

The server software is licensed for use on one device. You must obtain an access key from Read Write Tools and specify it in the configuration file in order to use the software uninterrupted.

Configuration

The server section must contain a registration section with two entries: customer-number and access-key.

The customer-number was provided to you when you purchased the software and again when you registered the software. If you have lost it, you can retrieve it automatically by providing Read Write Tools with the email address used during purchase or registration. Use the form provided at Lost Customer Number. Contact customer service for other situations.

The access-key is specific to the device running the software. When you purchased the software an access-key was provided which is the value that needs to be added to the configuration.
